Build your AI foundations with confidence
Level 1: AI teacher
You will gain
AI Foundations for Educators: Develop a clear, working understanding of artificial intelligence, including core concepts, key terminology, and emerging frameworks. This foundation will enable teachers to accurately interpret AI’s current role and influence on curriculum design, assessment practices, and everyday classroom use.
Practical Classroom Use of AI: Build confidence in using accessible, teacher-focused AI tools to support planning, differentiation, assessment, and pupil engagement, with an emphasis on critical evaluation of outputs, and maintaining professional judgement and pedagogical intent.
AI Literacy Across the Curriculum: Understand expectations for AI literacy from Primary to Secondary, and learn how to embed age-appropriate knowledge, skills, and activities within existing subjects. This supports pupils’ progression as thoughtful, capable, and creative users of AI.
Safe, Ethical, and Responsible AI Use: Apply principles of digital safety, ethics, and safeguarding to guide responsible AI use in schools. This includes recognising risks, responding to emerging technologies, understanding policy implications, and modelling best practice for pupils and colleagues.
